The Kalamazoo Humane Society is part of the WWMT closing alert system, and with a few easy steps, you can get a text or email notification to let you know when we're closed!
This is a great free service that could be very helpful to our clients and volunteers. We also call and/or email our clients and volunteers when we are closed, but we can generally get the alert to WWMT faster than we can call each person.
To sign up, visit https://wwmt.com/weather/closings
At the top of the page, you'll see a few options. The first option is the one you want (see image below):
A pop-up will open. Follow the prompts to enter your phone and/or email, then select the schools and organizations you want to get alerts for. If you already receive alerts, follow the link to update your existing preferences.
When you are done, click the button at the bottom of the window to finish up!
We are listed as "Humane Society of Kalamazoo" for the closing alerts and "Kalamazoo Humane Society" to sign up for text/email alerts.
