Caring in all shapes and sizes
Pet Food Bank

When financial problems keep pet owners from being able to provide food for their pets, we can help. Whether it be the loss of a job or an unexpected set-back, KHS offers pet owners temporary assistance to help stretch your funds until you're back on your feet.

The Pet Food Bank was designed as a temporary program and is not intended to be used as a permanent source of food or supplies.

Pet Food Bank Guidelines
  • The Food Bank is open during regular business hours Monday-Friday from 9am to 5pm (Closed Weekends and Holidays)
  • Applications are available at the KHS office; applicants must provide photo ID and be at least 18 years of age
  • Owners of altered pets are eligible for 12 visits; Unaltered pet owners may visit 3 times

Pet Food Bank Facts
  • Every day KHS takes on new Food Bank users, feeding an average of 500 pets each day in and around Kalamazoo.
  • The Food Bank is run entirely on donations of pets supplies and funding. Without your help, hundreds of pets would go hungry and face possible neglect or abandonment as their owners struggle to make ends meet.
