On Friday, November 9, 2012 the Kalamazoo Humane Society will hold its first annual Nipper’s Night Out, a memorable evening filled with fun and entertainment. The event will begin with hors d'oeuvres, open bar (6:00-8:00pm) and a silent auction featuring many one-of-a-kind packages and getaways. For the highlight of the evening, guests will be served a gourmet dinner while enjoying a private concert with American Idol Season 8 finalist Matt Giraud. It will be an evening to remember, with all proceeds benefiting the Kalamazoo Humane Society.

The Kalamazoo Humane Society, founded in 1897, offers many programs that support animal health and welfare, including:

• Operation Fix-it – a low cost spay/neuter program that helps reduce the number of unwanted pets
• Emergency Pet Food Bank – a program that provides food to people who are temporarily unable to feed their animals
• Temporary Sheltering for Pets of Domestic Assault Victims – a joint program with the local YWCA in which we provide housing for pets whose owners are attempting to leave a situation involving domestic violence
