More than 70 volunteers and their pets visit area hospitals, nursing homes and children's facilities on a regular basis. Kalamazoo Humane Society volunteers and their pets make routine visits to the elderly, the ill and the disadvantaged youth of our community in a effort to brighten and enrich their lives.

There are many studies linking animals to the physical and emotional well being of humans, and there is no better medicine than a wagging tail that's happy to see you.

The pets in the visitation program are evaluated before being admitted into the program. If you have an exceptional pet that would make a good candidate, please contact our office for more information.
