More than 30 dog houses are built by volunteers or donated by area businesses annually. These dog houses go to dogs who would otherwise have no shelter, and are often not brought indoors during heat, cold or inclement weather.

Dog houses are also made available to pet owners lacking proper shelter for their animals.

There is a high demand for dog houses and the number of available structures is limited. As a result, there may be a waiting list to receive one.
