Spay/Neuter Clinic (Operation Fix it)
Operation Fix it is a low-cost spay/neuter program designed to prevent the overpopulation of animals by surgically sterilizing dogs and cats for those owners who would otherwise not be able to afford it.
Food Bank
Temporary pet food for families in need; all food for this program is donated by the public.
Dog Houses
KHS provides dog houses to those who can't afford them as well as straw for bedding. Dog houses are donated by the public.
Pet Visitations
If you are interested in pet visitation and have an exceptional animal that would make a good candidate, KHS can provide information on how to prepare your pet.
Temporary Pet Sheltering
KHS can make temporary arrangements for pets, while victims of domestic violence make needed adjustments and living arrangements.
Educational Presentations
Education programs on responsible pet ownership and bite prevention are available to school-aged children and community groups.
